Hi, I'm Nick Shlykov – a photographer based in Canada, originally from Ukraine.

My journey began with a film camera, photographing friends, street life, and everyday moments. Over the years, that passion grew into freelance work, photojournalism, commercial photography, and countless opportunities to tell real stories through images.

Today, my work is focused on headshots, content, commercial, business, portraits and some of family photography.

I believe the best images don't just show what happened – they remind you exactly how it felt.

Within HRM — no questions asked, travel is free. Outside the area — we discuss the rate separately. Nick Shlykov Photography operates across all of Nova Scotia. If you need us — we’ll come. If it’s far — we’ll work it out. For sessions outside HRM, a travel fee applies based on distance and complexity. Every project is unique, so let’s talk — we’ll find a fair solution that works for both of us.
